Brake booster challenge
It looks easy after it was finished
After installing a rear disc kit then I realized I needed more assist. Even with 17 in, vacuum. I tried a rebuilt booster for a F 350 with a 1.25” and a 1” master cylinder, the 1” was somewhat better because of the smaller bore. It still did not have the right feel. I ended up ordering a Hydro boost for a F 350 and spent the better part of a week setting it up and having hoses made and right now I have the 1” master cylinder which seems to be the right combination. I have it spaced 1-5/8” from the firewall which set the pedal at almost where it was.
I must applaud you guys who have kept sales slips with whatever was done or purchased for your truck.
I just have some from lately and I am in denial on how much I have spent in the last 2 years on this Coyote project. This truck has been having changes made since it was new.
