So I just got my truck back a few days ago after a hard/no start issue I was having the shop replaces two injectors and some o rings. Now after driving for about 1.5 hours on the freeway then hitting stop and go traffic I start to get a rough idle happing. I have to drive from la to san Fran tomorrow for work and a little hesitant but an going to do it anyway. Gotta get to work. So any ideas on this issue?
Im buying one tomorrow now I am on my way home from my appointment I had and it's really all jerky and really strange idle. I'm doing 70 and it's starts to be kinda jerky and just weird
Disconnect the ICP sensor and see if she smooth's out, could be a number of things need to monitor ICPV , FICM, you can do a wiggle pinch test with the ICP connection at the grey clip, any oil out the back side of ICP ?
This is where the problem seems to be the connection. I wiggle it and the idle gets rough and then smooths out. In order to start the truck, I have to wiggle the wires just to get it started. If I have it set in the "right way", the truck runs fine. What is this clip/harness called and how hard is it to replace?is this the icp?

To Install the Pig Tail your going to need a few things sharp utility knife, black electrical tape , long BBQ lighter, wire snips (dike's) you need to move the glo plug harness both connections the snaps might break it's ok just zip tie them back on , gently slice the Factory tape ( like skinning a Rabbit)carefully not to cut the other wires, expose the 3 ICP wires long enough to cut and crimp each one separate make sure the heat shrink is on before you splice crimp each wire , I crimped the new pigtail first then reached in to do each cut and crimp. do a wire pull test to make sure they are tight , melt the shrink wrap and tape it all back up.

I did the pig tail repair just like you said which is how I would do a repair like this any ways. However still no love not even if I wiggle things around. I unhook the connector and the tuck fires right up. Do I need a new ICP as well?
you can drive , but I wouldn't go to SF with it unplugged this is for test and defauld mode . to bad you don't have time Riff Raff diesel has OEM parts for less have you tried Auto Zone or Napa dealers prices if no Choice.
