I have an early model 2011 f-350psd long box crewcab single rear wheel with 105k.
When at idle It almost sounds like I'm sucking just a small amount of air through the fuel line from the tank towards the motor. It's just a quick couple ticks and then everything sounds normal again for 30 to 40 seconds then it repeats. I have put my hand on the WIF bowl and it feels like someone taps the line with their fingernail when I hear the noise. It doesn't affect the the motor RPM or change the sound of the motor either. Does anyone have any idea what this could be or cause this???
Sorry for making that so long but I figured the more details the better.
When is the last time you changed your fuel filters? If recently, maybe the DFCM oring isn't sealed well. Or if its been awhile, maybe its time for a change? I change mine every other oil change or about 15K miles.

Didn't think of that since I changed the DFCM about 3k ago. I will check that tomorrow morning. Hopefully that's what it is.
