Looks good but I will stick with the one I made...one engine hoist, 2 2x4s, and a couple of long bolts. I built this to lift F100 cabs but since my latest build is a 40 Ford coupe I thought I would give it a go...works great especially when you are working as a 1-man shop.

That looks exactly like what I did. Works pretty good too.
Ray I love your work bench and wall I bet there are some good old smells of gas and grease and what not on that bench. Oh! ya the truck is really really nice also.

That's the same method I used for my cab, cheap and easy.

I put an "H" beam over my two post lift with a rolling block and a chain hoist. Some day I'll go to an electric chain or wire rope winch w/remote control.
Not sure what site I found this on but would be easy build and really handy. I have more pics if anyone wants them. Fully adjustable and definitely would get the job done.

That's cheating ...lol Very nice shop set up, when I did my panel I had chains strung between trees with a spreader between them and a chain hoist much like your set up , just a little more primitive.
Not wanting to hijack the thread but since Ross mentioned it, I'll throw the picture back up. The secret is using chains and adjustable links of some kind to maintain a level even load on the cab. My hoist is a larger unit and it did the job with ease. I also used it to remove and install a front clip from the F4. Truly, a one man job.
When I was 15, this was precisely how I managed my cab removal solo.
