I just bought a 74 f350 and was having issues with the turn signals not working. I replaced the fuse for the circuit which was blown and they now come on as they are supposed to but do not flash. I am thinking that the switch relay is broken and I was wondering if someone could tell me where that part is located under the dash and maybe give me a part number for replacing it.
OK so thanks for all the info. I picked up the part. My next issue is location. I found the flasher for the hazards which was where expected to the left of the fuse panel, however I cannot find the one for the signal lights. Where would I find it ?
See both of them in the diagram below? They are shown as circles.. the emergency flasher is on the left side of the image and the turn signal flasher, labeled "directional flasher" is near the bottom of the image.
On both of my dentsides, one flasher hung loose and the second flasher was mounted to the drivers side kick panel near what looks to be a door/seatbelt buzzer, you need to remove the instrument panel bezel to access it. They are mounted high, above the light and wiper switches. It has a little plastic nub on the end of them that locks into a hole by turning it, I assume that is the flasher, correct me if I am wrong?
