I am working on getting my hood tilt to work right. I got the kit from No limit engineering . the hood is on the cab, but not fitting all the way down it keeps hitting the passenger side fender about an 1/2 inch.the driver side is close to fitting. how do i fix it? I got the new hood an front fenders from sacramento vintage ford catalog. any ideas on what i should be doing to make it fit ? thanks

Sounds like some adjustment is needed in the heim jts at the front connection points. May also need to tweek the hood.
Check all gap lines hood to cowl and hood to fender boths sides, my guess would be small gap at hood to cowl driver side
large gap hood to fender driver side
large gap hood to cowl passenger side
small gap hood to fender passenger side
Hood is twisted on mounts
This unit from no-limit looks like the unit that Mid_Fifties calls the Y2K Billet go to their site and click on instructions
patience and keep adjusting until you get it close
Don't see to many of these old trucks with perfect gaps
The first thing to check is the fit of the hood WITHOUT the hinge kit. If the hood corners have spread then they must be adjusted first and then work the tilt kit.
I used the same kit and had same problem. Do you have a stock front suspension? I don't and I think that may be part of the problem. I fought with the hood kit for over a month and had the hood on and off at least a dozen times.
I ended up removing the front fenders and opening up the holes inside the kick panels to drop the back of the fenders down.
Also, be aware that the gap between the hood and the cowl is larger than you might think. I'd say my gap there is about 3/4 of an inch. If I made that gap smaller the hood would hit the fenders too far back.
This was a real pain in the axx job. All you can do is keep making adjustments till you get it "good enough".
Now that I have mine installed, I really like it so hang in there.
