Added another diesel to the stable, my second 6.0l and my first Excursion. It's turning out to be a very good truck. It started out rough as it was basically at a stand-still for 2 months, but it's all coming around. Bought it in Omaha and brought it back to CO.
2005 6.0l 4x4 X, 108k miles, Limited. Everything works but the heated seats and the overhead console.
It was bought to haul a family of 4, two 60lb dogs plus cargo up to Silverthorne, so it gets a regular workout driving from Denver up to 11.5k feet and back...suffice to say it needed a doosey of an oil change, new pads and a rotation/balance. Other than that, it's pretty much ready to go. I am considering myself lucky thus far...
Thanks! The current boggle is the BullyDog Outlook that's in it. I have an H&S MiniMax in my 2012 and this BD is a bit different. It doesn't appear to do much more than monitor, but I was surprised to see Pyro 1 and Pyro 2 reading data...wasn't that a not-OEM provided sensor? I know on my 2012 you have to install the sensor to get the H&S the data...
That thing is beautiful (The tail section of that gsxr looks pretty good too) I can't wait to do the 05' upgrade to mine so I will have that look.
If you ever upgrade your grille or bumper...I call dibs.
Try this guy out for the overhead console repair. They have a pretty quick turn around.

I can vouch for him, I didn't want to repair mine although he guaranteed the results. So, I purchased a new OEM from him cheaper than the dealer and gave him my old one for his labor to replace it. Nice guy works out of his garage in west Fort Lauderdale.

That's the wife's bike, my 08 R1 is next to it with two freshly grenaded motors....my luck with motors has been lacking, so seeing the X come around has been nice.

Just FYI, it is a very easy repair... I figure if you have to remove you might as well open and re-solder it yourself.
That's the plan, saw the videos on it. Same with the heated seats. It's not crucial right now, but we'd like it to be 100% functioning....especially as it's getting quite cold now.

My seat hasn't worked in 2 years. I can't be bothered to fix it. If it was my wife's seat I'd be fixing it the second it failed though.
