I know right! Always something!

Try riding the brakes lightly to rule out caliper/pad noise. I used to be a squeak and rattle engineer and spent hours and hours tracking down noises.

False. 2wd will have a trackbar up front, all solid front axle vehicles do whether it's 2wd OR 4wd - it's what centers the axle under the vehicle. Also referred to as a panhard bar.

2wd excursion isn't a solid front axle. It's a twin I-beam.
