A B-series is a Mazda BXXXX Truck. They roll off the same assembly line as the Rangers since they are built by Ford for Mazda. Currently, there is the B2300, B3000, and B4000 which have the 2.3L, 3.0L, and 4.0L engines respectively. Besides some styling and option differences, they are pretty much the same truck and so most, if not all of the information in this forum applies to those of us with B-series trucks as well.
I'm not sure of why they chose to rename the forum, probably because there are a bunch of us with B-series trucks on here, but I think it's good because it will make more people feel welcome to post and discuss their cars.
I for one am glad they have the B-series on this discussion board. I've been scouring the usnet groups looking for some place that had other B-series truck owners. I just happened to stumble on this site a couple of day's ago. Already I feel at home.
I think I can speak for most of the Ranger owners and say we are glad to have the Mazda B-series people on board contributing to this Forum! Your trucks are almost identical to the Rangers and therefore we have a lot in common and can learn a lot from one another.
For example, Jim (PSKSAM2) recently added foglights to his Mazda. He had a few few trials and tribulations, but with his own knowledge and a little help from his friends here at FTE, he was able to complete the project successfully. A link to the thread that Jim started has now been added to the Technical Information Sticky since it is full of helpful information on that subject. So, now Ranger and Mazda B-Series owners have a resource to check when they are thinking about adding fog lamps on their trucks. Works out for everyone.
