Hey guys,
Had my 2014 3 weeks now and started turning the Nav on for my boys while I'm driving and we noticed this thing is off 60% of the time. What i mean by off is it shows me anywhere from 1-3 inches off the street I'm on even out in the middle of a field or another street. Anybody else have this issue?
The problem I had is when I would first start the truck it would be correct, as I traveled it would get further off from where I was especially if I turned a lot. They replaced the antenna for the GPS and it has worked good since.
I have the Nav system on 2 Ford 2013 models and it is a known issue. It has got to the point that I don’t use it. I have asked multiple Ford dealerships and get a different answer every time. I find that it is unacceptable that for over two years that Ford hasn’t even updated the POIs or Maps to the real world. Show me a laptop, smart phone and PC that don’t update, most in the back ground on their own.
Please let us know what they tell you.
<O</OI use other cheaper GPS systems that I can customize and update.

Sounds like a hardware issue to me somewhere. Probably the antenna as already mentioned. Since it is under warranty, I'd let the Ford Techs give it a shot.
And of course, if they give you grief, Crystal (FordCustomerService) can help as well.
Lol, actually it seems that the fields I'm driving are paved. The road is off to one side of me according to the nav though or I'm in space between roads at times. Must be because up here in Canada Ford Nav hasn't figured out we have more than just a couple of roads.
My '15 acts similarly. Sometimes it shows me running parallel to the road I'm actually on but eventually it figures it out. Sometimes it is fixed just by zooming in or out.
I'm taking the truck in for its first service on Saturday. Maybe I'll mention the Nav errors and see if they can update. They may not since the TSB is for '13 and '14.
If I remember correctly, the Nav in my '07 Corvette came with 1 or 2 free map updates, which were done every two years. After that you had to pay for a new disk if you wanted to update the maps.
Mine did this after I went to my 37" tires. I did some searching and found that disconnecting both batteries for a while fixed it. I haven't had a problem since.
