The Clifford is the only aluminum one. There is the funky chrome tin one too. I've seen guys splice two together to make room for r.rockers. I've seen others weld on fins. With bondo and paint they looked nice, but the cliffy is the way to go.

the clifford is nice. i have done a splice job at home for different rockers. doesn't look as clean as the aluminum...especially once it's polished...but it does work.

Ebay find... the seller does not state which engine this fits. Looks very nice!

I don't think so. The gasket flange on the 223's is a rectangle.

If that's a ford cover it's more like a 144, 170, 200 & 250.

I didn't know the 223 was different from the 200, because the 200 family was what I was referring to. I don't have enough small block six knowledge.

I don't know a whole lot about the 223's. But I've owned a couple. The 223 was the inline 6 from the 50's-1964. It had the manifolds on the driver side of the engine. The intake manifold only has 4 runners. The 223 was replaced in 1965 by the 240/300's.
