These are not the originals, these are reproduced in plastic!

The originals are split bronze, not brass or plastic.

C2TZ-7517-A (replaced 01Y-7517) .. Clutch Release Shaft Split Bronze Bushing / .996" O.D. x .887" I.D. x .58" long / Obsolete

Applications: 1940/56 all trucks / 1961/64 F100/750 / 1963/69 N/NT500/1100.

VALLEY FORD TRUCK SALES in Cleveland OH has 4 = 216-524-2400.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 15 = 800-543-4959.

PARTS INTERNATIONAL in Farmers Branch TX has 50 = 888-727-0418.

[QUOTE=NumberDummy;14702914]These are not original, they're plastic!

[QUOTE]

Good catch Bill! Yes indeedy they are plastic, and they will probably last twice as long as the original style brass. When I changed mine, two little nothing, completely obliterated pieces of brass fell out. I guarantee the "space age" plastic will last longer. That's probably one of the reasons there's only 69 of the originals left in this country.

The originals were split bronze, not brass.

There are 100's available NOS from Ford dealers/obsolete parts vendors.

The OP lives in OH .. so I listed the 2 sources there...plus the source with the largest quantity.

Sorry. My bad on the bronze. There wasn't enough left of mine to really see what they were.

thanks guys..................what a learning process this is turning out to be ! it's great !

thanks again...............

..........................the installation looks pretty straightforward...........unassembled the linkage at the clevis at the end of the release arm, unbolt the housing bracket attached to the frame that holds the bushing, grease and reassemble...............sound right ?

thanks again........

I just got a set of new bushings from LMC truck if that helps.

But, I need the clutch equalizer shaft (new or used) that these bushing fit inside. Here is a picture of the part from Van Pelt but they don't have any in stock. If anybody is parting out a 48-52 truck would you mind checking to see if you have one? It may still be attached to the clutch if you have removed the engine/trans as an assembly.

Mine is in pretty bad shape and has been semi-fixed at least once.

EDIT 10/20/14 1:41PM: You can ignore this I found the part - Bob @ NJPARTS
