For those that might be watching this thread. We went the other day and looked some more at this model.
We then went and test drove one up in PA. According to their website (dealers) they had a bunch in stock. Turns out they only had one. A all black one.
So we went to Gaithersburg, MD dealer who we knew had a bunch of them. Picked the one we liked and drove it..It came home with us.
For anyone who is watching this thread I thought I would report back now that we have had it a few days.
So far at 324 miles we are at 27.5 mpg which is fantastic considering going to Fairfax, VA Via the DC beltway this morning in heavy commute traffic.
I was also under the suv today to check it all out. Pretty impressed there as well. Big portions of the underside were undercoated. Most of that has stopped now. They just seem to dip the bodys now.
So I did do some undercoating but not much was needed.
That park assist for parallel parking is a neat option. Some of the salepeople don't like it. But I works well and is just a quick as doing it myself.
Really liking this one. One of my co-worker's parents are looking at it. They wanted something more refined than the Escape, so they were leaning towards the Buick Encore. But now they are heavily leaning towards this after their test drives.
This last picture you can kind of see the buttons on the side of the dash. Sorry pictures are not too good. I can get better ones tomorrow. Better half is out right now at a business function.
But P is at the top for Park.
Then R, N, D, S and lowest one is start/stop.
No keys. Have the remote in the pocket. Step on the brake and start the car.
