Replaced PS Hose, Power on left turn, None on right Turn
Replaced a leaking power steering hose, pump to hydro-booster. the reservoir had ran almost dry with no steering before i noticed it.
Power steering started working fine when i refilled and lasted about a week, but now I have power steering only when making left turns. Every now and then it becomes slightly easy to turn right but never full power. I HAVE ALSO NOTICED SOME PULSING ONCE WHEN TRYING TO WORK BACK AND FORTH TO TRY AND REMOVE AIR, I HAD THE CAP OFF THE PS RESERVOIR. THIS DIDN'T WORK, SO IF THERE IS AIR IN THE SYSTEM IT DIDN'T HELP REMOVE IT.
I talked to a mechanic who said it was a restriction, but wanted me to bring it in and wouldn't elaborate further.
I need to fix it myself so where do i start looking?
I don't see a filter to check that, don't know if i should drain the whole system or what to do

I'd start by going through the procedure for a flush. Take the return hose off the hydroboost and watch to see what the difference in flow is when turning left compared to when turning right. Pump the brakes a little while turning to see if that affects flow.
You'll need help for this so you can really watch what's going on, and obviously some extra ATF. If on concrete, place the front wheels on cardboard or a hard plate of some sort to make it easier to turn the wheel.

Thanks for the post.
The flush did not help the steering. pressing on brakes didnt change anything.
The flow seems lower at times than at other times while i was flushing. I ran 2 quarts thru it.
I am thinking of draining all fluid so i can check every line in system.
Could a stopped up line on the cooler end pose this problem or would it be confined to the pump hydro-boost side?
any more help any one?
