Cats and muffler

I live in Texas and just did the egr delete and SCT tuner on my 04 6.0 powerstroke, my question is do I need to keep my cat and muffler or can I go with straight pipes back?

You're right! It is just a "visual check though. Just remove the cat, and do a "filter-ectomy" on it.

Cut the top open with a plasma cutter or grinder, remove the little kitty inside and weld it back together.
