Question O2 sensor change require comp reset ??

I had my os sensor (unit on top of cross member of exaust) changed at a dealership a couple months ago. When I asked if they reset the computer I was told no, as the computer will adjust over a period of time to the new sensor.
What I have read since indicates the battery should have been disconnected for a period to reset the computer and allow it to relearn it's settings with the new module installed.
What is the correct way to do it. Should I reset it now myself.

The computer will relearn within minutes. Actually, within seconds of when you hit a "new" throttle and rpm combination. A drive of a few minutes will hit most every "learn" cell.
