Ok guys my name is alex and like a lot I am new to the forum. I have a 05 navigator that has had a miss issue since I have owned it. Now I have tried everything In my power to sort the miss out.

Today I may have really messed up. I had the fuel rail off swapping some injectors around to see if I could pin point which injector is a possible problem. I had the idea that if I tried to start the engine with the top portion disassembled that maybe it would activate the injectors so that I could maybe see which one is not firing. Well of course nothing happened

So I swapped the good injectors for what I am thinking are bad injectors and put the whole thing back together. Well now the damn thing won't start. I turn the key it clicks like the engine is seized and the dash flickers at me in time with the clicks from the starter.

If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated. Jus need it to turn over. I can diagnose if it turns over but with this I am baffled. I tried to reset the pcm by unhook in the battery. But no luck. It started fine before the break down to the fuel rail, it just ran like crap.

Any help is appreciated I'll be looking around to see if I can offer advice else where

 

Ok I feel fairly ignorant and amateur......come to find out its jus the battery. It had 11.7 volts in it and I hooked the jumpers to it.....bam truck starts. Sometimes u jus have to go back to the basics. I just got into panic mode. Now back to the miss fire

 

So I take it you're all set with the battery but still have a misfire issue? Have you ever had the truck scanned for trouble codes?

 

Yup got it started drove it down the street to get it to throw cells and threw a rod instead. I hate fords they are junk
