A couple months ago the guy that services our fork lifts at work told me he stopped at a Shell station about 30 mins from where I live, and there were Ford trucks and people every where. He got to talking to them and it was Ford Motor Company testing the new Powerstrokes on Sandstone Mountain. This is a steep, long grade that I travel and tow on fairly often. It is definitely a good place to put any truck through it's paces. Diesel Power Magazine was there and did an article on it. Here is a link to the article. In one of the pics you can see Kenny's (the guy who services our fork lift) van! LOL!
And also, the "unnamed competitor that was carrying a slightly lighter load" was a Ram Kenny said.
That is nice, and I like the article, but 70-75k? I just don't see how ford sells so many trucks at those holy crap prices, but they do. I guess most people have a lot more money than I do.. Oh well, I'm happy with mine.
I didn't know they were doing it or I would have! LOL! They probably would have made me get out of it though when I asked them where the heck the clutch pedal was! LOL!!
