I'm wanting to store my 1999 Ford F250, Super Duty, 7.3 L Diesel, in my garage for the winter. Temperature will average between 15- 20 degrees during this time.
When I stored my car for the winter, I added a fuel stabilizer to a full gas tank.
Is there a stabilizer for diesel fuel and would anything else be required for storage?
There are several. Stanadyne and Optilube rate among the best. Both have a couple of "flavors" to choose from and have web sites as to which formula might fit your needs best as far as anti gelling and moisture issues go.
dn29626 - It's not that I want to store my perfectly good 7.3 truck, it's because I'm an old person and I'm forced to fly south for the winter...hahaha Thank you for the reminder about the windshield washer. I completely forgot.
