Dear fellow ford lovers. I need so much help it makes me want to cry sometimes. My truck has been a 5 month project and its still not running! It has taken a lot of time and effort for me and still getting let down please help. First let me give you the pre story. I own a 1993 f150 that I loved the **** out of. It had the 300 straight 6 in it and was a beast. Over the years it slowly became worse with not only the tranny wanting to slip here and there the whole suspension was going out. I had a friend come along and tell me he would sell me his 94 f150 for hella cheap. All I needed was an engine. Little did I know that his truck had a v8 in it. That started off a million problems. Months later we got the engine in and everything running. But the transmission was not wanting to shift. (we used the one from the 5.0 and had my 4.9 ECU in it.) I had another guy take out the trans and find out the bearings got so hot they melted inside so it physically could not shift. So we get it fixed right? wrong...it shifts in and out of 1 and 2 well and into 3rd but when you let off the gas it shifts back down to 2nd. So this mechanic tells me that I need the engine harness off my old 4.9 truck and the driveshaft. luckily for me I had it sitting around. Heres more problems. I have absolutely no idea how to get the engine wiring harness from out of the firewall. I see no push buttons or screws or anything. Ive scored the interwebs for answers and come up with nill. So the real question is how the hell do I do this? o_0

 

Should be a 10 mm bolt in the center of your connectors.
