It took purchasing 3 T5's before I found a good one. first one had the shifter too far back. Second one had the forward shifter but was out of a 4 cyl and was shot. Third one looked so good I purchased a rebuild kit on line for $95. When the local transmission shop opened it up he said it looks like new! Didn't need the rebuild kit. One problem that came up; electronic speedometer. I will have to purchase an adapter for about $300. to get a mechanical speedo to work. I did lots of research and I also found the T5 to be the best option. Good luck with your project.

T5 speedometer

Thanks for the information on converting elec. speedo to manual. It takes guts to attempt what he did. Very creative. Thanks again
