What was ford thinking when they pinched that y-pipe huh, Yes it helps alot, I replaced mine with gibson, It bolted right in and had no problems with it. I'm sure the engine is alot happier now.

I have the V10 but the same pinched y pipe and I had my exhaust shop fab one for me. Did it help? I don't know if it helped performance but it definitely helped my peace of mind knowing it was the way I thought it should be.

I replaced mine last year. They say it was done to eliminate some type of exh. drone. I don`t hear any abnormal exh. noise with the SPD Y-pipe. I did the Y-pipe and the 5 star tuner at the same time. I noticed a huge difference, but that is mostly from the tuner. the rest of the exh is stock!

Same here. This is a must for our motors, we need all the help we can get and this is a huge holdback.
