Egr problems?

I have a 1991 F-150 with a 351W that I just replaced the intake manifold gasket because it sprung a coolant leak. I also had to take the LH head off because one of the bolts corroded and broke off. So I replaced all of the gaskets I came across, as well as the egr tube. I plugged everything back up... except the egr vacuum line. I can't remember where it came off and there is no place for it to go when everything else is put together, at least that I can see. I have pictures of the line going behind the engine but I can't see where it would plug in to. It runs ok without it plugged in but only for about 30 seconds then it cuts off. If I put it in drive before it cuts off it will stay running even after I stop and put it in park. I can also hear a hissing vacuum leak at higher rpm, around 3000. So I'm not sure if I messed up with the intake gaskets or if its the spot where the line goes.

Does your truck still have the original plastic vacuum lines? If so, I recommend replacing them all with rubber lines. I did this and noticed a smoother idle. Its easy and the parts are cheap. Here's a great link: http://www.fullsizebronco.com/forum/...d.php?t=192382
