I made that suggestion but it fell on deaf ears. The truck belongs to a good friend who has owned it for many years. He bought it as a rust free, dent free, stocker and relishes in that fact. He had it another friends shop getting an alignment and one of the employees backed into it with a truck with a trailer hitch on the back. Wiped out the grill. So the shop owner is trying very hard to replace it with a nice 53 grill.

Hey Okiedokie,
The best I could find is this one in Lebanon, Tenn. about 500 miles East. He's asking $250 I believe. Greyhound has a freight service that's pretty reasonable for large parts. There is also a new one on Ebay for $800.

1953 FORD P-Up Grill

Good luck over there (except against the Longhorns).

KC Obsolete Parts

You might try calling K C Obsolete Parts in Miller, MO. He kind of specializes in parts for our trucks and is just outside of Springfield, MO. His phone number is 417-452-3673.

I have one that's in exceptionally good shape all in primer, but I'd have to have $400 for it. Original Ford factory grill I took off mine because I've swapped my '53 cab for a '56. I'm located in KS close to KC.

Guess a question to be asked is deluxe or standard. The deluxe grills with teeth are getting pretty expensive.teeth by themselves are couple hundred

Question

No it's not a "deluxe" as you call it...the teeth were an option in 1953 that was probably a custom cab thing, I'm guessing.
