Still sits close to $4.00 a gal here in Anchorage, Alaska... ($3.97 with a .03 off per gal. card) Although we have Fred Meyers, which is a Kroger company. So the last time I had $.90 off a Gal and paid $3.07.gal. Since we did a lot of shopping there... But alas, that won't be the case next month. Went down the Kenai over the weekend and saw $4.64/gal. I hear the off the road system villages are $8 - $10 a gal.. So I am not whining or complaining.
And don't fret my Sask. Canadian friend. I paid $1.99 a liter for diesel in Northern B.C. and YT... or around $7.52USD/Gal.
Where I buy I buy it here locally I am paying $3.69. Most are around $3.79 and the Shell stations are getting over $4. Our prices vary by county depending on local taxes. Next county over is about 10 cents a gallon more.
I'm paying $4.10 in Michigan. There are stations in my area that are $0.15 cheaper but after changing my fuel filters at 23,000 miles and having them look brand new I'll stick with the station I've been getting my fuel at.
Yes in Washington State they are sticking it to us on diesel. This week station at Ridgefield (I-5) was $4.29. My last fill up was $4.09 and diesel has been high all summer lowest I paid was 3.85
It was 3.43 per gallon here in Gadsden Al this evening at Murphy's. Is there usually a bump in price when cold weather arrives? This is my first diesel so never paid it any attention until now.

Depends on soooooo many factors. Is this a cold winter or a mild winter? Supply disruptions and global demand play a role too. Is the world in turmoil or relatively calm. Goes into the supply disruptions, but usually there is a slump in supply when the refineries switch from summer to winter blend fuel (and vice versa).
