Get ahold of a parts catalog from Mid Fifty to give to your assembler. It will show the parts you are missing like the bellville washers and special hood bolts that attach the hood to the arms. etc. etc.

Seems like you know a lot about the color schemes on these trucks, especially the wheels. I have a few questions though. First off, didn't the three quarter tons have black wheels? I know my 54 does and there is no evidence of any other paint underneath that would indicate anything else. I seem to remember that was the case, at least for 53-56. Also, is that black gas cap stock as well? I've got two trucks, a 54 and a 55, and I've seen some more around and I've never seen, or at least never noticed, a black gas cap on any truck I've seen.
About the black gas cap, I know in the literature I have where they detail what is painted body color and what is black, it lists the gas cap as being black on all models. The gas cap on my 55 F350 was black when I bought it.

There usually is no reason to remove those hood bolts, the 56 hood had a different rear brace arrangement and those bolts held the hood skin to the brace. Here is a pic, sorry for the reflections but I think that you can see where the bolts pass through on the under side of the hood in this pic.
