Has anybody successfully used the Engine Link App for iPhone on an OBS? I have the App and an ELM327 but cannot get it to work on my '97. It supports custom PIDs just like the Torque App, but they just make the engine sputter and nearly stall. The only PIDs I can get to work are speed and RPMs. I tried it on a 2014 F150 and everything worked as it should. Supposedly you can import custom PIDs from Torque as well. Would anyone be willing to send me their Torque PID list in .csv form so I can try to upload it?
I would just go out and buy Torque, but I don't have an Android device. Another iApp I have found that also supports custom PIDs is OBD Fusion. Anybody have experience with this and an OBS?

I wonder if the Windows version would work on a real computer (for those of us silly people who use our phones to talk, and our computers to compute....).
And no trial version? For a program that, according to the reviews, isn't exactly plug-and-play (and isn't exactly a stellar performer)? Hmmm....

I just found that same product ^^^^^ last night. Hmm, shows "Supported PIDs" on the main page, and the Release notes makes a brief reference to Custom PIDs, so maybe it's a go.....

It looks like custom PIDs are available with the Professional Add-On, for an extra $25 if bundled with TouchScan, so $50 total. I wonder If you can get the Professional Add-On as part of the free trial?

It wouldn't be a very useful trial if you couldn't. Shoot, there's freeware out there that works with standard PIDs; the only reason to pay for such a program is to be able to go custom.

So I downloaded the TouchScan free trial and it does not come with an activation key for the Professional Add-On. I tried it anyways and was not able to get any readings.
I've been working with the Engine Link tech support and I read the TouchScan data log; from what I can tell, my ECU is telling the software that there are no supported PIDs. I also remembered that about a year ago a co-worker tried to connect his AE to my truck but could not get it to read live data either. I'm starting to think that there is something wrong with my ECU that it is not reporting the PIDs properly. I know that the '94.5 and '95 ECUs could be flashed to activate the OBDII, but were there any version updates for the '97s? PCM code is MLE1.
