How to tell the age of rocker arms and push rods

I just bought a 1978 F-250 Crew Cab Ranger xlt 4x4. I took off the valve covers of my 351m and I was wondering how I could tell the age of the rocker arms and push rods. I was also curious as to whether or not they are the original.

I'm going to say 1977, but you could cut a pushrod and count the rings...

Seriously though they look original to me.

It's 78 but no use cutting them because they work fine. Thanks

Wait... Now I am wondering why the code on the heads say they are made in 75. Why would they be on my 78?

Because Ford bought things in large quantities and used them as needed. Might have come into them in late 75 and then used in late 77 for a 78. Not unusual.

Put a piece of all-thread in there. Makes it adjustable.

Can you really count the rings on the push rods?

I just looked again. You can get them for FE and mopar engines. But not these.
