Considering dual shocks

I'm considering installing dual front shocks on my 71 f100 2wd. Seeing as how lots of broncos had dual shocks, I thought I'd ask here.

What difference does dual shocks make? Is it worth it?

Well, my Bronco has the Quad front shock setup, but not having had one without it, I can't compare.

I assume the heavy-duty Quad-Shock setup was to better tame the heavy unsprung mass of the Twin-Traction Beam system.

Since you have a 2WD truck, I wouldn't think that you would have anywhere near the unsprung mass that the Dana TTB has, so I wouldn't think there would be much to be gained with Quad-Shock.

That's my $.02

Actually the quad shock setup was part of a handling package. So that's what it's supposed to improve, it's quite comfortable, yet better planted when taking a curve.

Hmm, I like the idea, just don't know if it's worth the time and money to fab some mounts and buy another set of shocks. I suppose the first thing I need to do is replace the shocks I have now. See how much of a difference that makes.
