I have a TW that has awesome power but low shift points and jerky in cruise.

The Gearhead I have is almost unusable. The heavy tow is a stock tune!! The extreme tune the DC% goes thru the roof.

I know this guys rep is really bad but I like his heavy tow mode, its No Limit Jonathan.

So I called and talked to BTS. The Trans is 4500 dollars plus 200 dollars worth of fluid and a tax rate of 7.75% and the written warranty is 2 years with him basically giving the buyer an unwritten lifetime warranty.

I don't follow, what is the warranty? I got a John Woods and it has a three year parts and labor and a lifetime parts warranty.

I've had this converter in for 2 years now, regularly tow a 11k travel trailer and haven't had a single problem.

I didn't buy it from ebay but here is what it is.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/E40D-4R100-1994-2002-Diesel-Stage-3-HD-Billet-Triple-Torque-Converter-36-FT-SD-/261549802137?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3ce5954299&vxp=mtr
I called them when I bought it from the # on this website - Florida Torque Converter

BTS has a written 2 year warranty but from what they told me is Brian will stand behind his products for life even though it is not written. but after the 2 years he won't pay for shipping to get the trans from wherever you are back to his shop and then back to you.

Well I made the appointment with BTS for Dec 12th. The only reason I got a date that early is because they had a cancelation. When I was on the phone with his secretary a few hours ago they were booked up until December 30th.

Sweet! I don't think you'll be disappointed with the decision to BTS your truck. That's a BIG chunk of change to be dropping on a transmission, but the peace of mind knowing that it's a once-and-done deal sounds like it would be worth it to me.

You're talking appointments, you're not taking the truck down there are you?

I'm really looking for one I can be going down the road in and just mash the pedal and take off, unlike the one I have where I get a massive rpm spike and a jerk and then a rpm drop and then a little gradual acceleration.....

When I was in John Woods shop, he was saying that he himself developed the design on a lot of the parts and he and Brian were buddies. No more love between them now but he said Brian continues to use his stuff, LOL. Who knows?
