I have an ongoing Craigslist want ad for 73-76 "parts" in support of several projects. I did get an offer a few days ago that I can't take advantage of so I am passing it along here.
The offer was for a 1976 short wheel base (SWB), rear wheel drive (RWD) frame with "only 45K on it." Included in the deal was a complete '79 body. Asking price was $500 and the location is close to Atlanta, Georgia.
All of my '76 Ford trucks are long wheel base (LWB), RWD vehicles so I had to pass this up.
Provenance: His '79 4X4 needed a better body so he says he replaced it with the '76 SWB body. Thus, the remainders include the 76 SWB/RWD frame (prob incl suspension, etc.) and the '79 body parts. It might be worth $500 to someone here.
If this interests you, please PM me and I will ask his permission to forward his email address to you.
That is cool to pass it on to the whole FTE community.
By chance are you a member of the FTE Georgia chapter and have you passed it on in their state forum? Most states have a monthly chat thread or a truck/parts listing.
And have you checked in with them to see if someone has the parts you need in state?

I'd tell the guy what you are doing and or just put his Craigslist add link on here. Less follow up work for you....
I just joined up and re-posted there. Thanks for the suggestion. Couldn't post a Craigslist URL because this fellow responded to my want ad. Since I don't know whether he would welcome inquires, I thought it better to get his permission first IF there is any interest. Again, thanks for the great suggestions. The Georgia chapter looks to be very active.
My '76 2wd short box, came from Georgia a number of years ago .Back then these trucks were not as popular as now and you could buy them for a song.Mine is virtually rust free ,top to bottom,in and out. Drove it into my driveway a couple of years ago for $1300. If I recall the guy that bought it in Georgia said he paid $800 & drove it here to Vermont. Happy, happy!
