What should I offer?
He says the truck ran when he parked it several years ago, though obviously not really well.
As I said it appears to have all the parts, though the green paint has mostly been replaced by a coat of surface rust. Wish I had taken pics, but I didn't, sorry.
When I said, "Hey, I have a truck that same year!", the owner replied, "You want it?"
I'm sure I could get it for little or nothing, but I happen to know the guy needs money - he's currently got his farm up for sale to try and raise $$ to care for his wife who's in the hospital - so I''d like to give him something for it.
What would you guys think would be a reasonable price to offer considering it's currently in what I would call "non-running" condition?
I'm thinking at worst it would be parts for my other '79, and if I could get it back in running condition without too much expense, it would be cheaper to drive than my other truck when I just need to grab a couple sheets of plywood or something.
Back to being serious though I`d think mabye $1,000 or whatever you think the parts you might need off it are worth to you.
