52 F1 Door Hinges

Hi Guys, I need some advice regarding the door hinges on my 52 F1 project. I need to replace the hinges, LMC Trucks have replacement hinges for the 53-56 but does not mention any in their catalog for 51-52.

Do you know where I may find these?
Are the repairable?
Are there other hinges I could look at using but modifying to work?

Send a PM to 51PanelMan. He might have them.

If they are wallowed out, you could probably have them sleeved with brass or bronze.

The hinges on the 48-52 trucks aren't replaceable in the same manner as the later trucks. They are riveted to the door, not bolted. It it usually best to rebuild what you have. Reaming the pin hole and using an oversize pin, which are commonly available from most vendors and universal, is the preferred method.

Thanks guys for your advice. I had to drill out the screws holding the hinges to the door frame but thankfully I have left the hinges riveted to the door. A new hinge pin it is. Thanks again.

I had to do the same thing. The triangle plates come out of the door pillars. Makes it a lot easier to retap them.
