odd ICP and stutter

Having another issue with the truck. Over the past couple of weeks I have driven from Alaska to Colorado to Texas to Georgia to Missouri then back to Texas. During my first visit to Texas truck died while Idling in parents driveway. Restarted easily enough but Immediately died again. Let it sit a while then restarted and had no issues until about a week later when pulling into my in-laws driveway in Georgia it died again with immediate restart then died about halfway up there driveway. Let sit a while and no more issues. Now back in Texas today coming back from town (about a 60 mile drive) I noticed it started to shudder some but never actually died. truck did throw a code every time i had a issue p2623. Did notice during the stutter I saw ICP drop to the mid 200's. Drive from AK-CO was with trailer loaded CO-TX was with trailer unloaded same for TX-GA and GA-MO. MO-TX was loaded Highest delta I recall was about 11 deg loaded uphill. So whats the opinions Bad IPR or HPO leak?

Disconnect the ICP sensor and observe the engine's behavior.

Better to drive with inferred ICP values than have the PCM trying to figure out the ICP sensor's lunatic mental state.

Any Oil out the connection side of the ICP, 200 psi is not good need at least 500 /540 to start on the gauge it will be around 600/800psi, when are you seeing 200?

have only seen the 200 once it occured during the most recent incedent with the studdering. And this is a very intermitent problem (Always the hardest to track down). IPR was replaced about a year ago after it was discovered to be the cause of an intermitent no start issue.

Just out of curiosity could this problem be caused by 5-30 synthetic in the texas and georgia heat?

5W30 SN oil could gum things up from soot.

What brand of 5W30 diesel oil are you using?

I'm idling around 550 with a stutter occasionally. I keep throwing codes for cylinder contribution/balance too. If I clear the codes while driving they don't come back until I'm idling again.

So Installed new IPR valve and made it to Colorado Springs. Have about a 1000 on it now and I am starting to experience the same symptoms. Did I get a bad IPR or Could there be a bigger issue?

Replace the ipr pigtail. Splice it as farback in the harness as the new connecor allows. When doing so you will also need to either reuse or replace the heat wrap on that section of harness.
Not saying its going to fix it but ive had success on a few dozen trucks with the same concern.

Is the length of the leads critical for this application?

That was my next plan I even ordered one when i ordered the new IPR. But I got an ICP connector instead. Where is a good place to get the connectors. Also I am looking into replacing my entire harness. noticed alot of stuff i didnt like when i was doing the IPR I found the injector harnesses for a decent price any sugestions on where to look for the main harness would prefer new. (Dont want some one elses problem.)
