fuel tank wireing

I am only running the rear tank in my 85 f250 4x4 diesel. I also took out the tank switch valve.
I need to get the fuel gage to work. I know there is a thread on how to rewire things to make the gage to read right but I can not find it. Yes I tried to search for it. Could someone help me out with how to rewire or a search.

thanks Jeff
ps sorry if this isdoes not make seance

Go down to the frame where the valve used to be. Find a yellow/white wire going up front. Cut it out of the wiring plug.

Find the yellow/lightblue wire going to the rear. Cut it out of the wiring plug.

Twist the yellow/white and the yellow/lightblue together, the fuel gauge should work on the rear tank. That is, IF(and that is a big IF) the rear sending unit is still good. They usually are not.
