Today my truck acted odd. Its been parked for a couple weeks. Started right up like normal, however the generator light laminated. The more RPM, the brighter the light. Then it corrected it self. But when I parked the truck and turned off the key, both generator light and oil light stayed laminated. It wasn't until I disconnected the battery that they went out. After reconnecting the battery, the generator light did the same. I'm thinking regulator???? Suggestions
Guess I'm a little unclear on your post - OFF - you mean OFF, same as in "no key installed"? Both OIL and GEN lights should illuminate in RUN, when first starting, to show bulbs are OK. The OIL light illuminating (in the OFF position) has me a little puzzled, though. That wouldn't have anything to do with the regulator, iirc.
"After reconnecting the battery, the generator light did the same. I'm thinking regulator??"
You mean to say the GEN light comes back on? (But not the OIL light) It could indicate stuck cutout relay. Be sure the cutout points don't close until 1000 or 1200 RPM, something like that.
With you mentioning the oil lite as well, it makes me wonder about the key switch.
Hm. So the switch is failed, in the RUN position, something like that, maybe dirt/corrosion?
Had to replace the 64's, can't recall why exactly. I would try a big ole slug of contact cleaner directed to the innards, and work the switch itself back and forth a few times. WD40 or lighter fluid, in a pinch would do, might be a workaround while new switch is on order or maybe this will solve the problem.
Sounds like you have switch troubles to work on first. Maybe just working it back and forth will free it up since it has been sitting but I would be looking around for another.
just to clear things up. As my description was vague. I since got the oil light issue solved. Now the generator light. When the truck is at idol rpm the light has a very low glow, which I believe is normal, but as I increase rpm the light gets brighter to full lumination at high rev's
Either regulator isn't regulating or generator isn't generating. Sounds like the latter. Measure battery voltage at 1500-2000 RPM and see what we have.

I've got this exact same issue in my '60 F250. I replaced the regulator, no change. I rebuilt the generator, no change. I cleaned all the wire connections for the regulator and generator, no change.... I take that back there was a change, the light just got brighter after the cleaning!
I'm onto rigging up a short stretch of new wire hooked to a generator bulb to see if it still does it. Maybe a wire is corroded somewhere and causing some resistance which would make the bulb glow since all it does is see a difference in voltage to light up.
In the mean time if you find a solution let me know, lol!
Wonder if it could be our old friend, corrosion? Rust never sleeps. One thing that helps is make sure the generator mounting brackets and block surfaces are clean since the return path current flows through there. I had a tough time getting voltage adjustments dialed in until everything was cleaned up.
It "shouldn't" be necessary, but also try polarizing the generator by disconnecting the field and batt wires at the regulator and touching them together momentarily.
