Mystery problem
F250, '01, 5.4, 4X4. Truck's running fine. Start it and it sounds like it's racing. Put it in gear and there's a quick grind sound. Happens from Park to either D or R. A/c doesn't work. Speedometer doesn't work, signals either. Overdrive is flashing off. All other status gauges are working. Check engine light did not come on. Got home shut it off. Started it and everything is back to normal. Sounds like a short but don't know where to start. Possibly my ignition switch. Hoping someone has an idea. Thanks.
