I installed a new set of injectors with one not compleatly seated fixed it ran fine for a while 100 miles now it will chug or mabey miss the truck kinda shakes off take off when it does it but it gets bad when it hit od it does not allways do this it will some times do it if I change tunes and or if I put the trany in to neutral and coast then in to drive it sounds to me like it idles fine at all time iv checked u joints its only a 2wd truck I replaced all valve cover gaskits and pig tails any ideas it runs good untill it doesn't want to other than that very satisfied with the swamps baby swamps mabey a little to much smoke for me tho
Combustion heat could have damaged the orings on that injector. Since it wasn't seated all the way heat was allowed to get passed the copper washer to the orings

I am just not even sure what this says. Maybe a period or a question mark? That would go a long way in trying to understand these posts.
I recently installed a new set of "Baby Swamps" (150/146) injectors and came to realize after the engine had been running for about 20 minutes that one of the injectors was not completely seated in the injector cup. I replaced the copper washer and inspected the o-rings, which looked fine, reinstalled the injector, re-torqued the hold down, and it ran fine about 100 miles, before it developed an issue.
Most recently, the truck has developed an intermittent miss or "chug". When it happens, the truck kinda shakes at take off and it gets worse (or at least more noticeable) when the transmission shifts into overdrive. This is an intermittent issue that sometimes occurs when I change the chip between tunes and or if I put the transmission in to neutral and coast, then shift into drive. It really sounds to me like it idles fine regardless of whether it feels like it is missing under throttle or not. Part of the time the truck runs great and part of the time it doesn't. I'm really happy with the injectors, aside from the issue mentioned above and the fact that the truck does blow some smoke now that I have the bigger injectors, which I didn't foresee.
Things I have done already include:
-Checking the drive shaft u-joints (the truck is a 4x2)
Replacing all the VCs and pigtails
I am open to any suggestions any ideas or suggestions.
That makes it way nicer Nate. What a little punctuation can do.
I know exactly what your feeling and think it is in the motor. Probably Justine cylinder is doing it IMO. I would check your uvch's for burnt pins or pinched wires. How many miles do you have on the injectors since you reinstalled them? You could still have air in the system.
Air in the system is my first thought as well, or a wiring harness. When you replaced the valve covers and pigtails did you install new UVCWHs (wiring under the valve covers) as well, or no?
Just one other thought, are you sure that all the rest of the injectors are still tight? I know I triple checked the torque on mine when I did them this last time.
Me be thinking them thar oringey thin gets on that one sylinder be braking down now from the unseating condition. I been told anytime the rings are installed replaced them never reuse!
There are now 632 miles on this set of injectors. It has been missing the last190 miles constantly. Yes I replaced the valve cover gaskets and wires. Rechecked all pins none are burnt. I think I can hear a miss when it is idleing at about 1200 rpm

It should only be idling at about 600 rpm. Do you have a chip in it with "high idle" setting? Any codes? You might be losing fuel pressure. You need to get it scanned if at all possible and the numbers will help narrow down the problem. Does it do it at WOT, or all the time? How does it start? Does it take a while to fire?
Nice punctuation btw! Just razzin ya. Hopefully you get this figured out soon.
Ya the chip is on high idle that's when u can hear the miss . It throws a turbo circuit censer in performance code . Yes the miss is starting to do it all the time and at wot. The truck does start up just fine just a few cranks and its up and going
Quit driving it first off. Second figure out which injector it is. If its the problem one that didn't seat . then get it out and check the orings.I would bet anything they are the issue
Well it is not starting as well as I stated earlier. It was a little colder out today and I didn't run it yesterday here is a link for a video of how it started to day. I was going to shoot the exhaust manifolds to see if there was a big difrance in heat while It was warming up . But I had to shut it down and take one of my kids to the er so ya. In this video there was about 2-5 mins imbetween cranking cycles. And I have stopped driveing it . http://m.youtube.com/results?q=97%20psd&sm=3
