rear brake line replacement

rear brake line replacement
I'm going to replace mine before winter, I was checking things out and see that I have a line that runs from the abs valve to the frame near the drivers floorboard then is connected by a union running all the way to the rear hose.
When you guys replace this line are you running it straight from the abs valve to the rear hose or do you try to undo the line at that union near the drivers floor and connect there?
I'm most likely going to use premade 1/4" line and piece it together
