socket sets - my review

i took my ratchet in to sears about 6 months ago and they put new mecanicals in it and gave it back to me in about 10 minutes

i ruined my new ratchet a few months ago when it doesnt ratchet and one of these days i will remember to take it back and we will see what they do with that one

socket sets - my review

I have a 3/8 and 1/2 Sears rachets that I bought in 1965. They are still fine. I have newer one that were "rebuilt" and now are going bad.

socket sets - my review

If you talk nice to them at sears, they'll give you a spare repair kit for your ratchet. I like to keep a spare around since its a 50 mile drive to the store.

socket sets - my review

hey oz, i bought a brand new mortising bit, amana, from my local saw shop. stuck it in the router, hit the switch and the thing disintegrated, peppering my face with bits of 20,000 rpm carbide. somehow it all missed my eyes. took the bit back, and they told me i had obviously abused it. i abused them for a while and never went back.
