adjusting tps

adjusting tps
Having some throttle issues so I checked the tps. Book says it should
have about 4 ohms and run up to 37000 at full throttle
The tps has 4 ohms but when you put it on the throttle body it has 7.
On the oppaste side looks like an idle screw. Is that for dialing this in.
I backed off a half turn and got 0 response? Book says it should
be adjusted to 1 volt using the slots in the screws. There is no play.
my iac valve gets no voltage(ground) on the computer side in the run
position. Engine off Books says should be 10.5 volts When its running it gets
5 volts . Starts and does the run up and backs down to idle pretty good.
When it was running good I could here the computer do some kind of a check
when I first turned the key. It does not do that anymore
anyone anyone????

Idle speed/TPS is not adjustable, that screw you moved is a throttle stop to prevent the butterfly plates from digging into the throttle body nothing more.
Closed Throttle can be anywhere between 0.6 to 1.0 volts, as long as it reads anywhere within that range with the two screws in and tight its fine.
More on the subject,
Ford Fuel Injection » Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)
As far as your IAC question see your other thread Subford covered that already, unless you didn't see it? something he stated you do not yet understand?
