i just noticed the door latch, on the cab, has a chunk out of the black plastic that is around the shaft. makes closing the door a little harder. do they sell these pieces or what have any of you rigged up in its place, a piece of pvc ?
went for the complete and your right, they had a 4 pack for repairing it. ofcourse it never goes back in the same place to align it. but after quite a few tries it closes like new again. cost = $4.00
i like them but would love to in the position of buying a new one. my first nice truck was a 75 silverado with 35,000 miles on it, like new, second, my now, 90 f150, 100,000 miles but original owner and like new, chevy sold at 300,000 miles, now my ford has 200,000 miles but still runs great and looks good. so this one might be a keeper, think tranny rebuild is in store and not looking forward to the $1400.00 + cost, but it will be good to for another 100,000 miles or so.
