The water that was turned off was untreated farm water from San Luis Reservoir. The property used to be a 300 acre farm and this is legacy water rights. I have a well for the house, but it'd probably kill the well pump to try to water those big lawns. Besides, if the drought is really that bad I need to do my part- sad as it is.
So true. I stopped watering my rose bush months ago. I have no grass to speak of, just dirt, so the only thing suffering is the rose bush. I have a cactus in the back and a tree on the west side, and I have not watered them in months either. Don't know how the tree stays alive.

Good Morning NorCal...Wow! It rained all day yesterday, and half the night last night. I'd bet we got about 1 1/2". Hopefully the northeastern part of the state got as much. This should take care of most of those hot spots still smoldering from the Lodge fire.
Guess I should start tightening things up here in preparation for a wet winter...I hope.
Hello fellers, weekend is so close I can smell it! Hopefully have this cab job all boxed up and ready for door delivery on Tuesday.
Has anyone else got a PM about winning an "End of Summer giveaway"? asked for my address to ship winnings, but shouldn't that be in membership application info?? or am I just a paranoid android?
