I intend to buy a 2015 F-550 chassis cab but I tow with a 2014 F-450 crew long bed for a rally school in NH and I'm not sure I can deal with less power after having towed with it for so long.
What are people doing to regain the lost power from pickup to chassis cab?
Especially when the 2015's are getting a power increase in the pickup boxed trucks.
I don't seem to have any problems with my 2011 F-450 with the 6.7L diesel even pulling a trailer up a 7% grade. I can pull it grossed out at 23,500 at 55 MPH still.
I plan on getting a 2015 F-450 or F-550 flatbed at the end of the year. I wish the cab/chassis were getting a few more horsepower for 2015 though. Here in California a F-450 pickup doesn't have to go through scales, a F-450 flatbed does though. I would check your local DOT laws, it might help you make a decision.

That's the thing. I don't have a problem with the F-450 pickup.
But the 2015 F-550 chassis cabs only have 660lb.-ft. and 300hp. for emissions reasons.
I feel like it would be a matter swapping in a non-chassis can PCM. Or maybe a reflash.
