Some available engine monitoring apps now with potential for more. I sent this link to my software engineer daughter to see if she could write a few apps and her opinion of the unit's technology. I'm a sucker for gadgets and this one may draw me in. Somebody talk me out of it.
Looks cool, but the first problem I see is that in uses the OBDII port and a lot of us already have stuff plugged into it. Apparently it can be powered by 12V but I have to wonder how much functionality will be lost.
I hear ya, but there are some folks like me that are looking at devices like the Edge CTS Insight or similar and haven't purchased yet. This Navdy HUD may be able to monitor the same OBDII info plus the gadgetry cell phone apps. I talked to the daughter last night via text and she is getting her Nerd Herd to look into the possibilities.

Yea, that would be cool, but I'll be very surprised if the Navdy will monitor more then the basic speed, RPM, MPG kind of parameters, let alone Ford diesel specific info. If it turns out that it will, or can be programmed to do so, like the Scangauge II, then I'll be first in line!! Keep us apprised!!
