Edge Users Come on in!!

Alright, so a little background. I spend my time in the 99-03 forum but my girlfriends dad (who i bought my truck off of) now has an 04 f350 with an Edge Juice w/ Attitude moduel. I can't say that i completely agree with his choice, i would have gone with SCT , but he got a great deal on it and it is perfect for him and his needs. Alright, now to business.

He had a couple guys that owned a shop locally that are big into diesels install it for him. THey are by no means mechanics but they know therere stuff but that is besides the point, they no longer do anythign for anyone.

Soooo, basically i wanted to know if there is a way to make that annoying screen at start up go away taht asks to accept the terms and makes the thing take the time to load up before you can drive every time you start the truck.

The GPS also does not work too well. The module is a couple years old and is there a way to download updated software for the GPS onto the Edge so it sees roads and updates that were not there when it was put into production.

THanks guys,
nic

It sounds like he has the A2 monitor, not the Attitude.

There is an update for some A2 models here

and here.

That's all the help I can give.

Beerstalker,

Did your lift require front wheel spacers? I love the look of your truck!

Mike, thanks, I have no spacers on the front wheels. I do get a slight rub on full left turn, but I should be able to just extend the steering stop a bit to control that. Going with aftermarket rims would also probably take care of the problem, but I don't have the money for that at the time and I have to much other stuff I want before I worry about that. When I have to replace tires I'm probably going to look for a set of aftermarket 18" rims with a little less backspacing than the stock 20's and that should take care of it also.

Nhill, there should be a wire that has 12V at all times that keeps the memory on the unit alive, it sounds like maybe that was not hooked up correctly, and every time he shuts the truck off the memory is erased and it thinks it is being plugged in for the first time. I know on my Dashhawk I have to hit a button on it the first 4 times I start it after I reflash the programming, or have it unlpugged for some reason, but after that it is fine. I'm not real sure how the A2 installs, but that is what it sounds like to me.
