I seem to recall the back of my parts Ex was rusty there. I just figured water got in somehow with the windows broken out, or that the a/c condensed back there and leaked.

However, I was surprised how dirty the whole thing was under the carpet.

Shoot Apoc! Go get a cheap one from harbor freight 120v 150$. Step up to 220v for 200$ or so when on sell. And pratice with it watch some youtube vids and get some srcap metal and go at it. You'll pick it up in no time if it makes you fill any better my cousin is a girl and is 5'3" and like 120. Tiny little girl shes been welding for about 5 years and welds as self contractor shes in N.Dakota now welding for all the oil boom going on in that state. So long story short if she can do it you can. Then if you like it buy a Lincoln or miller or something better that will last.

From my experience women actually make great welders. They are more detail oriented and tend to listen better than men. They also don't usually have the ego thing going which means they'll actually take advice and put it to use instead of acting like they're better than everyone.
