cruise control stopped working

Just replaced both batteries and now the cruise has stopped working. I checked the tail/ brake lights and all is good. I have not checked to fuse as I don't know what one it is.

I'd check it out to see if the recall has been done yet. What you're looking for is an additional little wiring harness between the switch in the master cylinder (under the hood, next to the reservoir) and the truck harness. It should have a fuse in it and they usually have a blue tag on the harness. That may or may not be your issue, but that recall is important because it is a safety against fire that could occcur when the under hood switch fails and leaks (which could be the issue with your cruise).

After some digging I found that all my light work just fine the recall has been installed and all the connections in the steering column are good. The problem was just the dam fuse.

Good deal! It's nice when it's something easy!

Want to dig in and find out why the fuse keeps blowing but want to make sure there is nothing I should test or something I should look at fist before the truck sit in pieces and the whole day is gone.

Had the same problem. Had a short in one of my 7 pin trailer connectors. It was the reverse light wire that was shorting to ground. Easy fix once I stopped looking for shorts in the harness. Same fuse in my case powers the tps and mine was shifting a little funky too. Search for my post. I can't do much on this phone to give the link.

Take a picture of the fuse location so we know which fuse it is.

So I think I finally got if fixed. The reverse lamp on the driver side was smashed and pressed up against the body causing it to short out. It works now but still doesn't make any since to me.
