The only concern I have about the degas bottle or dipping the radiator from the top is that the test kit, tests for contamination and if the fluid was contaminated with something heavier than the fluid it would at the bottom or on top of the petcock...

In the command center screen, Go to the coolant and press the reset and hold it till it clears.
Another interesting tidbit. Is the instructions say to test when the coolant is ambiant temp. Not when it's hot. How many dealers have you pull in and pull the test with coolant that is probably 180-190°. Technically you should park the truck and let it cool off before testing.
The main test is for Nitrates, If you never put anything into your coolant system, this should always test negative. So it is mainly looking to see if somebody added the coolant.
The Rejuvinator can be added twice during the coolants 105,000 mile life expectancy. It may be cheaper to add a couple bottles of rejuvinator at 35,000 and 70,000 and skip the test strips if you know that nobody has added the wrong coolant to your truck.
