I bought my 06 about two months ago. An I wanted to bullet proof it after I finally sell my 97. I keep hearing about this shop in Md called xlr8 diesel. Wanted to know any opinions on this shop.

No head work?!--heads need to go to a machine shop to be checked for flatness, cracks, cleaned, and new valve seals.. $500
i dont see injector o-rings or rocker-box seals.
No new thermostat?
Custom EGR delete? I'd like to see that.
Intake gasket set?
Coolant flush? with water or chemicals?
*Note: if the cab is off, change the AC compressor, they are not very fun to replace with the cab on. Heck its hard with the cab off.
Be advised when you purchase a head gasket, you get the bolts and revised standpipe for free.
OEM oil cooler also comes with revised screen for free.
STC kit is like $50 and in my experience most trucks already have this done.
That price isn't too far off. Tuner is about 400 bucks. But I do agree, need to see if they send the heads off to get checked. Valves don't need to be done all the time as well as the ac compressor. I would ask about the updated pushrods, 6.4 banjo bolts, exhaust manifold gaskets and bolts. Price might be 2-500 bucks over priced. But that's around here or what I charge.
I'm getting ready to replace the stand pipes dummy plugs injector o-rings an stc fittings so I can get it back on the road. So that'd be taken off the bill amount. I was just hoping that it'd be a good shop to do all the other work. I know there's a place down in va beach that's suppose to be good but that's 170 miles from me this place is only 40. I'm new to the 6.0 world I'm more use to my 7.3 that I did all the work on but I had more time back then an knew more.
